A well-established, international manufacturing business is seeking a proactive Health, Safety & Environmental Co-ordinator to join its West Midlands operation. This is a key role supporting the HSE Manager to ensure a safe, compliant and continuously improving working environment across the site. You will play a central role in maintaining and improving site-wide health, safety and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and internal management systems.
H&S Coordinator – Responsibilities:
* Supporting the implementation of HSE policy and procedures across site
* Assisting with risk assessments for new and existing processes
* Preparing and updating safe systems of work
* Investigating incidents and supporting corrective actions
* Ensuring COSHH assessments and SDS documentation are maintained
* Conducting PPE and equipment safety checks
* Supporting contractor control processes and site H&S documentation
* Assisting with audits and Integrated Management System compliance
* Monitoring HSE performance metrics and dashboards
* Advising managers on hazards, controls and safe working practices
* Keeping up to date with HSE legislation and regulatory changes
You will work closely with operational teams to drive a positive safety culture and achieve zero non-conformities.
H&S Coordinator – About You:
* Experienced in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
* Confident conducting risk assessments and COSHH assessments
* Familiar with ISO / Integrated Management Systems
* Comfortable engaging with managers and shop-floor teams
* Organised, detail-focused and proactive
* Committed to maintaining high standards of HSE compliance
A relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent) would be advantageous.
