Tetra Tech, a global leader in high-end consulting and engineering services, has partnered with Hays Recruitment to hire Principal/Associate Electrical Engineers to join their Building Services team in Belfast. This expert team deliversprehensive mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors, including Healthcare, Education,mercial, and Defence. With a long-established presence in Northern Ireland, Tetra Tech has a proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-impact projects throughout the region.
Your new role As a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer, you will lead and deliver multiple medium to large-scale projects, covering all aspects of electrical design within a consultancy environment. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing electrical services from concept through topletion across various sectors
2. Producing detailed design calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings
3. Conducting site surveys and construction stage duties
4. Liaising with clients and multidisciplinary design/construction teams
5. Ensuringpliance with health and safety regulations
6. Mentoring junior and intermediate engineers
7. Supporting directors with resource planning and team management
8. Contributing to fee estimates and bid submissions
What you'll need to succeed
9. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field
10. Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
11. Proven experience managing building services projects from concept to handover
12. Strong client-facing andmunication skills
13. Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and develop a team
14. Knowledge of sustainable design and renewable technologies
15. Proficiency in digital tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Relux, Dialux, Amtech, NBS, and Microsoft Office
16. Full UK driving licence
