You will have significant experience, able to manage multiple on-site projects simultaneously, and delegate effectively to less experienced team members. The client values lateral thinking, clear communication, and a collaborative spirit.
Their work spans public and private sectors, from inception to completion, with project values ranging from £1m to over £50m.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead project teams, write full specifications, and manage small internal teams.
* Manage your workload while supervising others.
* Respond to complex queries from internal and external clients, coordinating with other consultants.
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to work and manage a small team independently.
* Flexible approach to projects.
* Passion for creating and delivering great buildings and places.
* Willingness to work on diverse projects within a multi-sector studio.
* Share knowledge and experience with colleagues.
* Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Leadership and Client Management
* Manage client relationships effectively.
* Engage at any project stage with minimal briefing.
* Lead multiple or complex projects from start to finish, ensuring client satisfaction, profitability, and timeliness.
* Develop initial proposals and detailed designs with a small team.
* Be aware of your impact on others across teams.
* Manage project fees and invoicing (with administrative support).
* Contribute to winning new work.
Essential Skills
* Develop initial proposals from briefs.
* Coordinate design teams and professional consultants.
* Produce and analyze specifications, materials, and detailed design solutions.
* Manage and control design and production information.
* Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and professional standards for large, complex projects.
* Oversee the design process and project development.
* Monitor financial performance of projects.
* Develop technical specifications supporting work packages.
* Evaluate refurbishment, repair, reuse, recycling, and deconstruction options.
* Working knowledge of Revit.
Desirable Skills
* Experience in healthcare projects.
* Assess and prioritize client and user needs, and develop project briefs.
* Advise on procurement methods and contract types.
* Research and develop innovative design solutions.
* Evaluate building performance and maintain maintenance information systems.
* Advanced Revit skills, including Dynamo scripting.
