Manufacturing Operator
Location: Paisley, Scotland
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour
Contract: Full time, 6‑month contract
Hours: 37.5 per week
Start Date: ASAP
Work Pattern: Rotating shifts (early, back and night shifts)
About the Role
Are you looking to start or build a career in manufacturing? We are recruiting a Manufacturing Operator to join a busy, fast‑paced production environment based in Paisley.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work and wants to learn new skills in a structured and supportive environment. You will play an important role in supporting daily manufacturing operations, helping ensure products are made safely, efficiently and to a high quality standard.
No previous manufacturing experience is required, as full training will be provided. School leavers and candidates looking to move into manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting day‑to‑day manufacturing and production activities
Operating equipment in line with procedures and safety standards
Following quality, compliance and cleanliness requirements
Working closely with team members and supervisors
Helping achieve production targets and schedules
Taking part in continuous improvement activities
What We're Looking For
National 5 (or equivalent) in Maths and English, or relevant work experience
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good attention to detail
Ability to work well as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights
Working Environment
On‑site manufacturing environment
Combination of graded and non‑graded areas
Manual handling and standing for extended periods
Working with chemicals and hazardous materials (training provided)
PPE and protective clothing supplied
