THE ROLE
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: Grade 9
Dudley’s SEND team has had a number of developments in recent years and continues its journey to ensure children and young people’s needs are met.
As part of the Childrens Services Redesign, the creation of additional capacity within the SEND team has meant there is an opportunity for additional Case Officers to join the SEND Team.
There are several elements to the statutory work being undertaken by the SEND team, which ranges from statutory assessments, to case work at various age ranges from 0-25.
This position will ideally suit an individual who has experience of working with children and young people with SEND.
They will have an excellent understanding of the statutory core role within the Local Authority which is supported by very good knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice.
They will be outstanding communicators who work as part of a multiagency approach and with parent carers to support children and young people to achieve their outcomes.
This individual will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a motivated and fast paced team to deliver excellent quality EHCPs to support positive outcomes for children and young people.
They will be calm under pressure and highly adaptive and flexible to meet the needs of children and young people.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
The interviews will require attendance at a Children’s Panel, the date and time of which is yet to be agreed but will shortly before or after the main interview panel.
