Igloo is recruiting a highly experienced Master Technician to join a well-established automotive operation in Coventry. This is a permanent opportunity for a senior-level technician who enjoys advanced diagnostics, complex fault finding, and working with the latest vehicle and EV technologies.
This role goes far beyond routine servicing. You’ll be trusted with high-level mechanical and electrical diagnostics, EV and high-voltage systems, and complex repairs, while also acting as a technical reference point within the workshop.
The Role:
1. Carry out complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics across a range of vehicles
2. Diagnose and repair EV and high-voltage systems
3. Remove and repair high-voltage batteries, including module and cell work
4. Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer processes and standards
5. Analyse faults using diagnostic data and technical documentation
6. Manage your own workload to ensure high-quality work is completed on time
7. Support and advise other technicians with complex technical issues
8. Produce clear and accurate job reports and repair documentation
Experience & Requirements:
9. Master Technician or highest-level manufacturer qualifications
10. EV and High Voltage certification, including battery removal and repair
11. Minimum of 10 years’ manufacturer-trained experience
12. Strong diagnostic capability across both mechanical and electrical systems
13. Proven experience working to manufacturer warranty procedures
14. Ability to write clear, accurate job reports
15. Confident supporting and mentoring other technicians
16. Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
