Role Description
This is an on-site role located in the Manchester area, United Kingdom. The Senior Residential Support Worker will be responsible for supporting children in a residential living setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development. Daily tasks include providing hands-on support, fostering independence, ensuring safeguarding protocols are upheld, and developing positive relationships. The role also involves administrative duties, as needed, to deliver high-quality care and services in line with ofsted regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Childrens Support Worker and familiarity with safeguarding practices is essential
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting, professional relationships
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children and young people, colleagues, and other professionals
* Proficiency in providing administrative support relevant to the role
* Ability to manage responsibilities in an on-site residential environment
* Prior experience in a similar role or a related field is required, with a developed understanding of trauma informed practice.
* Relevant certifications and training in residential childcare and safeguarding practices are required with a willingness to attain Level 3 in Residential childcare.
