JOB TITLE - SEN Specialist
Prospero Teaching is looking for an SEN Specialist to lead and anchor a small group of SEMH children with support. Class planning is provided by the SENCO, allowing you to focus on direct support. The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team, and is committed to training all staff. The position is open to both qualified teachers and experienced SEN assistants with strong group-management abilities. Depending on performance, the school would consider extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
Responsibilities
* Run a small group comprising children with SEMH needs (Year 1 and Year 3), with direct support and supervision.
* Implement planning provided by the SENCO to deliver targeted support.

* Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

* Minimum rate of pay: £120 per day
Experience, Training and Qualifications
* Experience working with various special educational needs
* Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the last year
Eligibility to work
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate with online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years
