Shape the Future of Strategic Growth at XPO
At XPO, we’re not just delivering freight—we’re enabling transformation. We partner with businesses across sectors to unlock smarter, more sustainable logistics solutions that drive lasting value. As one of the fastest-growing providers in the market, we’re now looking for an inspiring
Head of Strategic Development to deepen our customer partnerships and open up new commercial possibilities.
This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of our growth journey.
What You’ll Do
You’ll sit at the heart of our strategic sales effort—building trust, identifying opportunities, and co-creating solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You'll use your commercial acumen, creativity, and emotional intelligence to open doors, ask the right questions, and coordinate teams around compelling value propositions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop meaningful, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple sectors.
* Engage customers in intelligent dialogue to uncover needs, challenges, and ambitions.
* Translate insight into tailored, commercially attractive logistics solutions.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with pricing, operations, and solution design teams to bring proposals to life.
* Lead the creation of winning proposals, from early engagement to successful award.
* Help build long-term customer partnerships through trust, creativity, and delivery excellence.
* Be a voice of the customer within XPO—championing continuous improvement and innovation.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a commercially astute, people-oriented professional with a gift for seeing opportunities others might miss—and the credibility to build alignment internally and externally to turn them into reality.
You’ll thrive if you are:
* A strong communicator and listener who builds rapport with ease.
* Experienced in complex B2B sales environments, ideally within logistics, supply chain or transport.
* Comfortable navigating long sales cycles, frameworks, and tenders.
* Strategic in your thinking, with a curiosity to understand and solve problems.
* Naturally collaborative and energised by team success.
* Focused on outcomes, but flexible in your approach.
If you bring the right mindset, we’re open to a range of backgrounds and experiences.
What We Offer
* A chance to be part of a high-growth, high-energy business shaping the future of logistics.
* A collaborative and supportive team culture where your ideas and contribution matter.
* Competitive salary, bonus, car allowance and a range of flexible benefits.
* Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
* The space and trust to do your best work in a way that works for you.
We’re Committed to Inclusion
At XPO, we believe diverse teams make better decisions and create a more vibrant workplace. You may not match every part of this description—and that’s okay. If you believe you bring something special to this role, we encourage you to apply or reach out to our recruitment team for a conversation.
