Your new role
As a principal engineer, you will be responsible for a large estate reporting to the head of building services and engineering. You will be based in central Manchester and will be responsible for budgets and all mechanical systems.
1. Ensure all statutorypliance and legal provisions
2. Operate within the annual budget
3. Take full responsibility for all the mechanical systems
4. Fullpliance with statutory requirements, in line with SFG20
5. Provide specialist advice and guidance on new Mechanical Pressure Systems and Gas plant investments
What you'll need to succeed
6. Excellent organisation andmunication skills
7. Ability to manage contractors
8. Proficiency in working with standard Office IT, Microsoft Word, Access and Excel
9. Understanding of Maintenance Management Systems, PLANON. Ability to use specialist software, AutoCAD
10. Extensive knowledge and understanding of building services systems, specifically relating to Mechanical and Gas Engineering, including the Building Regulations and legislationerning its operation and maintenance.
11. Degree, or equivalent, in a Mechanical Engineering related discipline
