Finance Manager

📍 Coventry (Hybrid)

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Finance Manager will play a key role in safeguarding the financial health and stability of the business. You'll lead the finance team, deliver accurate financial reporting, and develop processes and controls to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of monthly and annual accounts, manage month-end/year-end close, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
2. Leadership: Manage and develop the finance team to ensure effective financial operations and compliance.
3. Payroll: Oversee payroll submissions in partnership with external providers, reviewing and approving reports.
4. ERP Systems: Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify requirements and drive system improvements.
5. Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the CFO in preparing annual budgets, monitoring performance, and analysing variances.
6. Internal Controls: Develop and enforce financial control policies to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
7. Cashflow Management: Maintain oversight of payments and manage daily cashflow effectively.
8. Projects: Support ad hoc initiatives including grants, tax reliefs, and intellectual property.

About You

9. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
10. Experience as a Finance Manager ready for that step up into a leadership and strategic focused role.
11. Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance.
12. Commercially aware with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
13. Experience of working in a high-growth or scaling business.
14. ERP systems experience (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
