Your new role
As a Production Planner (Maternity Cover), you will report to the Factory Manager and play a key role in delivering daily and weekly production plans for the retail site. You will ensure planning targets are met on time, without compromising quality or cost control. Your responsibilities will include producing and amending production schedules, updating KPI spreadsheets, managing raw material availability on a just-in-time basis, and supporting both short- and long-term planning. You will also work closely with the sales department to manage surplus stock and ensure 100% fulfillment of customer orders.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need previous experience in production planning, ideally within the food processing sector. Strong organisational and planning skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. A proactive approach and commitment to the company's values are also key.
