Overview A leading tier one contractor on the Southern Water Framework is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of clean water mains replacement projects. This is a critical role with full responsibility for managing multiple projects across design, construction, commissioning, and handover. You'll be accountable for programme delivery, commercial performance, safety, and quality — while building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the successful delivery of multiple clean water projects. * Take full ownership of programme, budget, and contract performance. * Oversee all phases from planning and procurement through to completion and client handover. * Ensure compliance with all HSEQ standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements. * Drive performance across project teams including engineers, site staff, and commercial teams. * Support and mentor staff to maintain high standards of delivery and career development. * Maintain effective client relationships through regular meetings and progress reporting. Qualifications & Experience Essential * Proven track record as a Contracts Manager in civil engineering or water sector projects. * Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, risk and cost management. * Proficiency in planning software (MS Project; P6 desirable). * HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. * SMSTS and CSCS qualifications. * Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Desirable * Chartered (CEng MICE or equivalent). * NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
