Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy enviroment. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage time effectively and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
* Being knowledgeable and familiar with all products that are sold and keeping up to date with changes and new products
* Assist customers in selecting furniture and carpets that meets their needs and preferences.
* Maintain a clean, organised and visually appealing showroom
* Provide information about product features, benefits, and pricing to customers.
* Handle customer inquiries via phone and in-person with excellent phone etiquette.
* Support inventory management by keeping track of stock levels
* Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience from entry to purchase.
* Advise on additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
* Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate pricing information.
* Excellent organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and showroom environment.
* Previous experience in furniture/carpet retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential.
* Working on 2 weekly rota basis. Week One - 3 days, Week Two - 5 days (2 of which will be weekend). There may be the opportunity to pick up more hours if required.
