We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Operative to join our busy automotive shop floor / manufacturing team. As a Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient assembly of automotive components and vehicles.
The Automotive Group are a successful family-owned business trading for more than 45 years offering employment, security and development in the wheelchair accessible vehicle market.
Responsibilities:
* Perform assembly tasks, following standardised procedures, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
* Operate machinery and tools, such as welding machines, CNC presses, to carry out production tasks effectively.
* Inspect and ensure the quality of parts and finished products, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and timelines.
* Follow and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold efficiency and reduce hazards.
* Assist in inventory management, including the accurate recording of materials used during production.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and optimize productivity.
* Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues that may arise during production.
* To maintain production stages efficiently.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
Mechanical Knowledge - Auto Electrical and or Welding Experience is a must and relative to salary.
Familiarity with operating machinery and tools used in automotive assembly processes.
* Basic understanding of quality control (ISO 9001:2015) principles and the ability to perform quality checks.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* Flexibility to work in shifts and overtime as needed.
* Hours of employment 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 13:00 Friday
* Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
