Louma Country Hotel is a luxury countryside hotel dedicated to exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences. We are seeking a Head of Housekeeping to lead our Housekeeping team and uphold the highest standards across our beautiful estate.
This is a key leadership role for someone who takes pride in immaculate presentation, thrives in a luxury environment, and enjoys supporting a team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
THE ROLE
As Head of Housekeeping, you will:
* Support the Hotel Manager in managing all housekeeping services across guest accommodation, public areas, and outdoor hospitality spaces.
* Lead by example, championing our culture and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional standards.
* Act as an ambassador for Louma Country Hotel, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless, welcoming, and memorable stay.
* Oversee cleaning procedures, room setups, turndown service, replenishment, and presentation across all areas.
* Conduct daily room and public area inspections to ensure all areas meet the highest luxury presentation standards.
* Identify and report maintenance issues promptly, ensuring guest rooms and public areas remain in excellent condition.
* Implement and maintain quality control procedures and housekeeping checklists.
* Manage rotas, schedules, and staffing for in-house, contracted, and casual housekeeping teams.
* Maintain accurate inventories and audits of assets, consumables, and housekeeping equipment.
* Coordinate with external partners for linen, laundry, waste collection, and specialist cleaning services.
* Manage and control housekeeping budgets, stock levels, and ordering of cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, COSHH procedures, and operational policies.
* Deliver high-quality training to ensure consistent standards and safe working practices.
* Respond to guest requests, special room preferences, and housekeeping-related feedback promptly and professionally.
* Handle guest complaints or service recovery relating to housekeeping.

REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a luxury hotel environment
* Strong understanding of PMS systems and proficiency with IT systems
* Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends (40 hours per week)
* Flexible and solution-oriented approach to varied operational tasks
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required
* Full UK driving licence (due to location)
