Academics is recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN setting in Ware, Hertfordshire.

Location: Ware, Hertfordshire
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:45am-3:45pm, with one day per week until 5:15pm (34 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Salary: £19,711 pro rata
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assist with learning, interventions, and individual education plans
* Monitor pupil progress and maintain records
* Support pupils' wellbeing, personal care, and social development where required
* Prepare classroom resources and provide general classroom support
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Requirements:
* GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
* Reliable, patient, and adaptable approach
Desirable:
* Previous Teaching Assistant experience
* Experience supporting children with SEN
* NVQ Level 2/3 or relevant qualification
* Safeguarding training
