We are now recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal hospital in the City of Cardiff for a 6 month contract starting ASAP.
* excellent full time opportunity on day rota working 36 hours a week over 4 days NO WEEKENDS, NO OOH
* Start ASAP on a minimum 6 month contract.
* practice is busy and spacious with state of the art facilities and equipment including; CT Scanner, Advanced Ultrasonography, Endosurgery facilities, Extensive blood analysis equipment (TEG, blood gases etc), orthopaedic, soft tissue and exotic theatres, Dedicated ECC wards, Dental suite etc.
* role will involve a mixture of hospital days, with responsibility for inpatient care, ops days and sometimes you will need to pick up some emergency consultations.
* ideally you will be confident in surgeries including splenectomies, amputations, lap spays and have experience with managing complex medical cases.
* join a friendly, experienced and supportive Vet team with a varied interests
* CPD funding and you will be able to work cases up fully and pursue your own personal clinical interests.
* super location to enjoy the vibrant City of Cardiff area with Vale of Glamorgan, the Brecon Beacons National Park and Welsh Coastal Path within easy reach.
Person Requirements
* Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
* Registered with the RCVS
* good routine surgical and medical skills
* comfortable with a variety of surgical procedures
* able to work sole charge (when on call)
