We’re looking for a Caretaker to join our team! Contractually based out of our Portsmouth office, you’ll mainly cover Eastleigh and the surrounding South Hampshire area. This is a full-time, permanent role working 39 hours per week.

Role Responsibilities
As a caretaker, you’ll deliver consistent caretaking services to communal areas, including:
* Clearing bin areas of rubbish and fly-tipping
* Cleaning communal hallways
* Testing fire alarms and safety equipment
The role requires you to:
* Follow a rota and work pattern
* Maintain sites to set standards and frequencies
* Work according to defined specifications
* Adhere to our 7-step first-class repairs service
* Complete fire safety compliance checks
You’ll also record tasks electronically, such as site visits, minor repairs, and changing communal lamps.
Candidate Requirements
Ideally, you will have experience in cleaning and caretaking/janitorial work, knowledge of operating cleaning machinery, and basic maintenance skills. A category B driving license is required, and you should be comfortable using basic technical devices for logging work.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be capable of:
* Working at heights
* Manual handling and lifting heavy items
* Mobility tasks including walking, lifting, loading, and unloading vehicles
A full, clean driving license held for at least 1 year is necessary to drive company vans. Offers are subject to driving license checks and DBS clearance.
