It is not designed for graduates.Job Description:3-month positions (May 2026 through August 2026)15-month position (May 2026 through August 2027)Duties/Tasks:Duties at the surface coal mine will be wide and varied, based on needs of the operation. These duties may include all or some of the following:* Repair electrical mining equipment and facilities.* Assist with electrical inspections on mine equipment.* Work with different voltage electrical systems.* Troubleshoot motor control circuits, PLC, and digital drive control systems.* Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures, and state and federal environmental regulations.* Other duties as assigned.Applicants will be trained to operate a bucket truck, digger truck, cable reeler, cable tractor, trencher, and other support equipment.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:The successful applicant should have a working knowledge of AC and DC circuits, electrical controls, and troubleshooting with and understanding of electrical schematics.
