Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tractor Driver specialised in Hedge Cutting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating specialised agricultural machinery to maintain and shape hedgerows and boundaries across various sites. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge, safe driving practices, and efficient hedge management skills to ensure the landscape is kept in optimal condition. The position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a physically active environment, contributing to landscape maintenance projects with precision and professionalism.
Responsibilities
* Operate tractors equipped with hedge-cutting attachments safely and efficiently across designated areas.
* Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
* Navigate different terrains and access points, including flatbed routes, ensuring safe delivery of equipment and materials if required.
* Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper utilisation of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Communicate effectively with team members regarding job progress, safety concerns, or operational issues.
* Assist with other related tasks such as loading or unloading equipment within warehouse or storage facilities when necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and machinery usage.
Experience
* Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractors or agricultural machinery.
* Delivery driver experience is advantageous, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
* Mechanical knowledge related to tractor operation and maintenance is desirable.
* Previous warehouse experience can be beneficial for handling equipment logistics.
* Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating tasks effectively within the team.
* Familiarity with flatbed transportation and securing loads is preferred.
* A valid driver's licence is required, with a clean driving record preferred.
