Technical Responsibilities Provide expertise on EC&I systems, ensuring plant safety and system availability. Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams for maintenance planning. Support and manage projects to ensure high quality, cost-effectiveness, and service. Develop and manage the CMMS system for maintenance and operation. Participate in a 24/7 call-out rota. Manage EC&I contract requirements and day-to-day contractors. Oversee plant monitoring and machine protection systems. Diagnose and rectify faults in EC&I systems. Conduct minor installation and phased replacement work. Maintain and update plant control systems. Plan and deliver complex outages. Procure materials and equipment within budget guidelines. Manage inventory of critical spares. Explore energy-saving opportunities to support net-zero goals. Support the objectives of the electrical department and overall business goals. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (BS7671 & BS6626). Health & Safety Responsibilities Ensure personal and team safety. Report all accidents, near misses, and incidents. Maintain electrical workshop and equipment. Produce risk assessments and method statements. Shut down processes when risks to people, environment, or plant arise. Adjust plant parameters to maintain quality and performance. Education & Qualifications Don't worry if you don't have all these qualifications we can train you Qualified Electrician/Technician (JIB ECS & IET Gold Card or higher). PLCs, HV switchgear, electrical isolation, and permitting - preferred not essential training given Strong understanding of plant processes, utilities, and safety regulations. Experience with electrical power distribution (110V–11kV). Control systems (PLCs, relays, industrial communication networks).
