Job Title: Transport Operations Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day coordination of shipments, fleet operations, and administrative processes to ensure smooth and efficient delivery performance across our European network. This position requires strong organisational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in scheduling and dispatching drivers for domestic and cross-border routes.
* Monitor shipment progress, proactively addressing potential delays or issues.
* Ensure compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practice), ADR (Dangerous Goods), and company SOPs.
Administrative Support
* Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems.
* Prepare operational reports and assist with KPI tracking.
* Support invoice processing and cost allocation for shipments.
Customer Service
* Respond to customer queries regarding shipment status.
* Provide timely and accurate updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve service issues.
Compliance & Quality
* Support audits and documentation control for quality assurance.
* Maintain regulatory and safety documentation for vehicles and drivers.
* Assist in implementing operational improvements and efficiency measures.
Requirements
* 5 x GCSEs or equivalent.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Excellent IT skills with attention to detail and time management abilities.
* Experience in logistics or operations, preferably within a regulated environment.
* Experience in transport administration and customer service is advantageous.
Preferred But Not Essential
* Experience in temperature-controlled road transport.
* DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor) and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) preferred, but not essential.
