Hours: 30 hours per week


Main Purpose of the Role

We currently have the following opportunity:

You will be based at Friarton Depot, Perth but must be flexible and willing to work at various locations throughout the council area when required. A driving licence is essential. You must be capable of carrying out the physical demands of the post and be able to communicate effectively with team members and the public.

The contracted shift pattern will be Friday to Monday 0900hrs to 1700 hrs and you should have a willingness to work over-time when required.

Duties include the day to day operation of a busy Recycling Centres, ensuring that work is undertaken according to instructions received.

The successful candidate will deal with the public daily and must have good customer relations and communication skills, and ensure that waste is disposed of correctly.

Applicants must be numerate and literate and be comfortable with new technology as you will be tasked with operating the weighbridge.

You must be willing to do other tasks including Street Sweeping and refuse collection when required.

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, You will bring a positive energy and have the ability to work well as part of a team.

You will be aware of Health & Safety legislation. You will have effective visual skills with the ability to ensure the safety of other road users and pedestrians.

You will have the ability to carry out inspections, ensuring that your site is safe and meets all legal requirements.

It is essential that you are computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft systems.
