Senior Residential Support Worker - Liverpool
Location: Liverpool (On‑Site)
Salary: £12.50 (unqualified) – £13.00 (qualified) per hour
Reporting To: Children's Home Manager
Role Overview
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will lead by example in providing high‑quality care for young people aged 10‑19. Acting as a role model, mentor, and shift leader, you will support both the team and young people within a nurturing residential environment across Liverpool.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Preferred)
* Proven experience in residential childcare
* Leadership or shift‑leading experience
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma‑informed practice
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
* Lead shifts to ensure safe, consistent, and high‑quality care
* Support, mentor, and guide Residential Support Workers
* Promote positive routines, education, and well‑being for young people
* Build trusting, therapeutic relationships that model resilience and empathy
* Maintain accurate records and liaise effectively with external professionals
* Uphold safeguarding and regulatory standards at all times
