We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Hygiene Supervisor to join the organisation and play a vital role in maintaining exceptional hygiene standards across site.
As a Hygiene Supervisor you will lead the hygiene team, ensuring that cleaning schedules, hygiene manuals, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Working within the food manufacturing industry, you will contribute to continuous improvement, audits, and compliance with technical standards, while motivating and supporting your team to deliver the highest quality results.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Hygiene Supervisor include:
Manage Hygiene Systems:
Maintain and update hygiene manuals, cleaning instruction cards, and schedules
Ensure Compliance:
Oversee COSHH documentation and safe working practices
Lead the Team:
Manage training, development, and performance of hygiene staff
Audit Preparation:
Support internal and external audits including BRC compliance
Health & Safety:
Participate in accident investigations to prevent re-occurrence
Technical Support:
Provide information to technical teams and external stakeholders
Stock Management:
Control consumables and PPE supplies effectively
Continuous Improvement:
Drive improvements in hygiene processes and systems
Inspection Checks:
Sign off hygiene standards after cleaning and maintenance
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment (chilled food desirable)
Proven people management experience
Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene (minimum)
HACCP Level 2 (minimum)
Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills including Microsoft Office
Ability to build, lead, and motivate a team
Attention to detail with a hands-on approach
Good communication skills with professional and positive attitude
DESIRABLE
IOSH in Health & Safety principles
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
