Overview
The Housekeeping Inspector/Room Attendant oversees the cleaning of guestrooms by the Housekeeping staff. Responsibilities include ensuring rooms meet cleanliness standards and are ready promptly for guest accommodations.
Responsibilities
* Clean and maintain guest rooms, including changing bed linens, replacing towels, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and restocking supplies to ensure a clean, comfortable environment.
* Inspect assigned rooms daily to ensure standards and productivity levels are met.
* Report deficiencies to Room Attendants and ensure corrections are made, re-inspecting as necessary.
* Complete and submit daily assignment records to the Housekeeping Office.
* Maintain key control procedures.
* Supervise Laundry staff, if applicable.
* Coordinate with Guest Services regarding room status and handle items in Lost and Found according to standards.
* Carry communication devices to stay in contact with Front Office and Engineering.
* Assign daily duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants.
* Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and common areas.
* Report progress on out-of-order rooms to the Guest Services Manager.
* Initiate and follow up on repair and maintenance work orders.
* Oversee biannual maintenance and cleaning projects.
* Monitor VIP guests and special requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently or constantly.
* Ability to stand throughout the shift.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns.
* Multitasking and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
* Attentive, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor with guests and employees.
* Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
