Assistant Garment Technologist – Menswear
Based in Enderby, Leicester. Typical working pattern: 5 days in office with flexible core hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm once the role is embedded.
About the Role
Our Garment Technology teams ensure Next’s menswear products meet the highest quality standards. Working closely with Designers, Buyers, Merchandisers and Fabric Technologists, you will support the entire product critical path from design concept to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Garment Technology process from design concept to delivery, focusing on quality improvement.
* Develop and drive technical innovation and product improvements within the Menswear team.
* Approve and progress the range, ensuring good quality standards and clear written and verbal communication internally and externally.
* Manage the supply base to meet quality expectations.
* Monitor product quality throughout the season, conduct audits and use findings to further enhance quality.
About You
* Strong team player with excellent people skills for multi‑functional collaboration.
* Experience and eye for garment technology, fit, manufacturing, construction and performance.
* Drive and initiative to generate and implement new ideas in your department.
* Capability to expand knowledge across different product areas.
