Job Description
VANRATH are recruiting a HGV Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to work with the leading provider of heavy commercial vehicles in NI.
Salary:
Up to £20 an hour
Role:
The successful candidate will be required to perform heavy vehicle fleet inspections, diagnostic testing and carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs including the replacement of parts.
1. Ensuring repairs are carried out according to manufacturer's procedures in a safe and responsible manner
2. Completion of jobs from general servicing to fault finding, working on electrics and carrying out strips and rebuilds
3. Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with Standard Times using special tools where appropriate
4. Assist in the fault diagnosis process
5. Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair
6. Work with the parts team to ensure correct replacement parts are fitted to vehicles
7. Road test vehicles if required (if holder of an HGV licence)
8. Ensure all vehicle defects are reported to Workshop Supervisor
9. Ensure service sheets are completed as per Company instructions
Requirements:
10. Matching NVQ level 3 with time served
11. HGV licence (NOT ESSENTIAL)
