This is an exciting new role being introduced to support some of our most vulnerable learners.
We are seeking a candidate to develop a new curriculum with the intent to support pupils in securing foundational knowledge and skills that will enable them to access the broader mainstream secondary curriculum. While developing pupil academic ability and addressing gaps and misconceptions, the Ambition curriculum is aimed at supporting pupils' social and emotional development through a nurture approach to learning. We are fortunate to have direct access to our school farm and forest school provisions.
The teacher will:
* Be responsible for the planning, intent, implementation, and impact of the Ambition curriculum.
* Liaise with the Heads of Department for English, Maths, Science, and Humanities to develop a curriculum that enables pupils to exit into mainstream classes when necessary progress has been made.
* Support pupil social and emotional development.
* Monitor, analyze, and report on progress to all stakeholders.
We are seeking a candidate who has a passion for working with SEND pupils. There is an opportunity for the right candidate to take on some paid responsibilities related to SEND or to be employed as the school SENDCo.
Applications will be considered as received, and the position may be filled before the closing date. Early applications are encouraged.
How to Apply: We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, including neurodivergent individuals. Please complete our School Application Form, as we are unable to accept CVs. To arrange a visit and see our facilities and meet staff, please email [emailprotected].
