Easement Solutions are the longest established land rights service specialising in supporting utility companies with land rights acquisitions for gas, electricity, water and fibre connections. We are seeking a CAD Technician to enhance our client services. This role involves producing legal plans and drawings as well as assisting with other ad-hoc CAD work at the request of the wider team.
Objectives of this role
* To deliver client needs in accordance with contractual obligations and agreements.
* To comply with business and legal codes of practice.
* To support the Account Managers, Key Projects Manager, Directors and colleagues in delivering excellent client service.
Responsibilities
* Production of legal drawings in line with Land Registry requirements based on requests from members of the Team.
* Assistance with other CAD work related to design drawings as required to support the Project Managers in delivering excellent customer service.
* Providing cover to other members of the team producing plans to ensure customer service remains consistent.
* Be an ambassador of company values and a role model for company policies and procedures.
* Communicate locally/internally/externally as needed to meet the objectives of this role.
Requirements and Skills
* Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD LT.
* Experience with utility design drawings or conveyancing plans.
* Knowledge of Land Registry legal plan requirements desirable.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Time management skills.
Key tasks:
* Producing legals plans according to the relevant client specification.
* Ensuring legal plans will be compliant with Land Registry requirements, and advising the relevant Project Manager where this is not the case.
* Assisting in producing plans to aid Project Managers in their review of proposed utility designs.
* Provide advice, assistance and support to Client Account Managers and Key Projects Manager.
* Accurate recording of time spent on projects.
* Any other task commensurate with the post.
Compensation
* Part-time – 20 hours per week, with more needed when cover for plan production is required.
* Office based during probation period, hybrid working thereafter.
* Salary banding: £22,660-£26,780 pro rata dependent on experience.
* Annual leave entitlement is 26 days per year (pro rata) plus Bank Holidays.
