SEN Support Worker – Secondary Education – Taunton
Location: Taunton
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – ( Fridays)
Pay: £ – £ per hour (dependent on PAYE or Umbrella)
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join a supportive secondary school in Taunton. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.
The Role:
1. Supporting students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional needs
2. Working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored interventions
3. Providing one-to-one and small group support
4. Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour management
5. Promoting inclusion and emotional wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
6. Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or other settings)
7. A calm, patient and resilient approach
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. A genuine passion for supporting young people
10. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
11. Right to work in the UK
