About the role
An exciting vacancy has arisen within our People Team for a Nursery Room Leader, working with children aged 2-3 to deliver a high level of service to our team and departments on resort.
You will report to the Nursery Assistant Manager. The Room Leader will supervise and support team members in planning, organizing, and operating their room. They will also provide a stimulating and varied programme of play, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children by working alongside the Nursery Manager to deliver a consistent experience for parents, carers, children, and the team, while ensuring compliance with all aspects of Butlin’s Little Learners Day Nursery.
The role involves working 40 hours a week between 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. This is a permanent role as the nursery operates year-round.
Key Responsibilities
You should hold a minimum NVQ level 3 or above in childcare and have previous experience working in a nursery setting.
A strong knowledge of statutory requirements, safeguarding, and the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is essential.
Experience working with children aged 0-2 is desirable, but training can be provided. You should enjoy working in a friendly environment, possess good communication skills, and enjoy working as part of a team.
Being a great team player is essential. You should enjoy a busy environment, be adaptable, and willing to try new things. Good communication and the ability to engage with different people are important.
