Yard Operative | Up to £27,512 annual salary | Work 7 out of 14 days | Chichester
We’re hiring a Yard Operative in our Merston factory to join our fast-paced team at Nature’s Way Foods in Chichester. This is a full-time, permanent position offering guaranteed hours and consistent shifts, providing stability and long-term employment.
You’ll play a key role in keeping our yard and external areas running safely and efficiently, supporting the wider site and ensuring deliveries and collections operate smoothly. Due to the nature of the role, a valid forklift licence is essential.
Shift Pattern
We operate a days only shift pattern which runs from 7am to 7pm. The working days are
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday

Responsibilities
8. Carry out daily maintenance of the yard and external site areas
9. Ensure the yard and external areas remain safe, functional, and compliant with Health & Safety standards in all weather conditions
10. Operate a Forklift Truck in line with all Health & Safety requirements
11. Communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and customers (lorry drivers)
12. Take responsibility for the Health & Safety of chemical deliveries
13. Ensure the safe and compliant removal of all waste from site
14. Operate all yard equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures at all times
