Recovery Worker - Criminal Justice (Ref:0025ZB)

Main duties of the job
The role will include covering the courts, prisons and custody suites on a regular basis. The post holder will work with people awarded a community sentence where mental health, drugs and/or alcohol have been identified and work closely and collaborate with partner agencies to manage these orders. You will work directly with individuals released from prison and support multi-agency plans around them.

We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. The successful candidate will work as part of the Criminal Justice Liaison Team alongside in-house services including prescribing and clinical, outreach, hospital, adult community, and a residential rehabilitation facility. Person Specification
Qualifications
* ONC/NVQ level 3 or willingness to achieve within 12 months
Experience
* Experience working in health, social care, criminal justice, or related fields, or motivation to work in the drug and alcohol sector
* Proven ability to build meaningful relationships and deliver reliable customer service
* Experience working with people affected by substance misuse
* Valid driving license and access to a vehicle
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
* Resilience, organizational skills, and flexibility
* IT competence and ability to support other locations as needed
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a DBS check due to the nature of the work with vulnerable populations.
