An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to join a well-established Oncology Nurse Team within NHS Forth Valley.
As part of the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will provide support to cancer patients, and will regularly work unsupervised. In addition, they will support the trained staff in the delivery of care.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will have venepunture skills and will be expected to cannulate following appropriate training. Furthermore, they will have the ability to use their own initiative in a busy environment while establishing excellent team working skills and function as an active team player.
The post holder must be willing to work in a variety of areas within the oncology unit as required.
A minimum of SVQ III in care or equivalent gained through a combination of experience, knowledge and on the job training/short courses is essential, with a willingness to continue to develop relevant skills/knowledge.
