Job Title: Independent Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Occupational Therapist to provide client-centred therapy services across a range of settings.
We are a small dedicated and friendly team of OTs, based in Lancashire who work across the North West of England and Yorkshire.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Paediatric OT who will work autonomously to assess, plan, and deliver therapy that supports individual in achieving independence and improving their quality of life.
We are happy to consider both part time and full times hours as we understand the importance of work life balance.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on client needs and goals
* Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living and functional skills
* Evaluate home, school or community environments and recommend adaptations
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records and documentation
* Closely liaise with families, caregivers, members of the MDT, education and legal professionals
* Provide education and support to clients and their support networks
* Manage an independent caseload
* Ensure compliance with professional standards, regulations, and safeguarding policies
Requirements
* Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification)
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
* Proven experience in occupational therapy practice
* Strong assessment, problem-solving, and clinical reasoning skills
* Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
Desirable Skills
* Specialism in areas such as paediatrics, neurology and major adaptations
* Experience with report writing for funding or legal purposes
* Knowledge of assistive equipment and environmental adaptations
