MTC Training is an multi-award winning Independent Training Provider delivering high quality engineering apprenticeships and upskilling training courses.
The role of Curriculum Leader is fundamental in meeting MTC Training vision. You will be responsible for the implementation of a robust curriculum for in centre delivery and for the work-based development of the apprentice in conjunction with our employer partners.
Through inspiring leadership, you will manage a number of Engineering Trainers and Apprenticeship Skills Coach to monitor, track and report on the progress of learners from the start of their apprenticeship through to EPA.
Key Activities:
Line manage a team of Engineering Trainers and Apprenticeship Skills Coach
Monitor, track and report on the progress of individual learners, groups and cohorts assigned to you as Curriculum Leader
Support the development of high quality teaching material to ensure it meets the requirement of Apprenticeship Duties, KSBs and any relevant qualification learning outcomes
Complete Internal Quality Assurance alongside the Quality department to maintain MTCs reputation of high quality Apprenticeship training.
Coach and mentor new staff to ensure they meet the requirements for high quality delivery MTC Training strive towards.
Demonstrate model behaviours that, at all times, are consistent with an open, inclusive and participative style and be proactive in identifying opportunities that are appropriate to maintain your professional development.
To support the Centre Head & Curriculum Manager in delivering the provision of an innovative, effective and efficient curriculum offer that meets the needs of Learners and employers in line with national, regional and local government agenda
Provide learners with Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance at all stages of the apprenticeship journey, from open evenings, recruitment, on programme and after programme so that learners are informed about their options.
Knowledge:
Experience of curriculum management
Experience in Lecturing/Training in your subject specialist area (able to plan lessons and prepare schemes of learning)
Working knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and End Point Assessment
Self-starter and able to work on own initiative
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Understanding of the structure and assessment requirements of relevant awarding bodies and competence-based qualifications in further and/or higher education
Qualifications:
Essential
A full teaching qualification is an essential requirement. As is significant experience/expertise in education (F.E / H.E or apprenticeships)
A full assessor qualification is a requirement. TAQA L3 or equivalent (or willingness to gain within 12 months of employment).
Desirable
An IV qualification, TAQA L4 or equivalent
Engineering Industry expertise would be advantageous but is not essential
Qualified to minimum Level 3 (Engineering expertise would be advantageous but is not essential)
