Chelmsford Theatre is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to help keep our well-loved venue running smoothly. If you've got a knack for problem-solving, a commitment to supporting public experiences, and a practical mindset, this is your chance to make a real impact in a vibrant, creative environment.
We're looking for a practical and dependable individual to support the smooth running of our Theatre. Duties include setting up event spaces, handling deliveries, replacing marketing materials across Chelmsford, and assisting with cellar tasks. Alongside this, the role involves carrying out basic building maintenance and repairs, liaising with contractors, and helping to manage building systems to ensure efficient operations.
The successful applicant will be skilled and safety-conscious with a solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to public venues. The post holder will have experience in carpentry, metalwork, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance, as well as the safe use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifting equipment. Knowledge of building systems and their maintenance is essential as well as experience working with the public and confidence using Microsoft 365 software to support daily tasks.
