Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supported Living Support Worker to join a leading care provider in Abingdon, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to individuals with varying needs, including personal care, eating and drinking, shopping, and household tasks. You will also have the opportunity to participate in fun and fulfilling activities with the individuals you support, such as music, cinema, and theatre trips, days out, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supported Living Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include providing high-quality support and care to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being. You will work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring that each individual’s needs are met. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, reporting any concerns or issues, and participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Experience
While experience in care or working with people with specific additional requirements is desirable, it is not essential. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, with a positive, can-do, and professional attitude. You should be reliable, flexible, and able to work sleepovers. A valid UK Driving Licence is also required. Full training and induction will be provided to all staff.
