Job Description
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for managing the receipt and booking-in of reagents and standards, coordinating metrology activities, and ensuring the upkeep of laboratory facilities.
Please note this is a full time role working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 09:00-17:15 (4 days), 09:00-17:30 (1 day).
1. Management of laboratory equipment calibration, qualification, and maintenance.
2. Management of the eLIMS-BPT Metrology module.
3. Review and approval of calibration and qualification data.
4. Scheduling and oversight of vendor visits.
5. Receipt and booking-in of reagents and standards.
6. Carry out routine weekly and monthly laboratory maintenance activities.
7. Support the resolution of quality issues.
8. Take action on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
9. Writing and review of laboratory procedures, protocols, reports.
10. Support self-inspections.
11. Support client audits and regulatory inspections.
12. Propose and implement continuous improvements.
Qualifications
13. Degree in life sciences is preferred.
14. At least one year in a GMP- or GLP-regulated environment with a degree, working experience in a Metrologist role is preferred but not essential
15. At least two years in a GMP- or GLP-regulated environment or Metrologist role is preferrable without the desired qualification.
16. Excellent understanding of GMP.
17. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
18. Ability to liaise with vendors and manage documentation effectively.

20. Quality consciousness with the ability to consistently work to industry standards.
21. Positive, methodical, tenacious, and innovative approach to work.
