Vertex Associates are proud to be partnering with a London based build and design business in hiring an Accounts Payable Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract. There will be a requirement to attend the office full time for training purposes (first 6-8 weeks), before moving to a hybrid position consisting of 3 days per week in the office.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Ensure all invoices (including subcontractors) are distributed, coded and approved in line with policy
* Deal with staff expense claims and corporate credit cards
* Deal with emails and queries from suppliers and the wider business
* Produce weekly and manual sub-contractor and expense payment runs as requested
* Complete statement, balance sheet and expense reconciliations
* Accurate data entry, including manual supplier invoice entry, manual supplier credit notes and daily banking
* Comply with all existing KPI’s and SLA’s
* Develop and maintain strong relationships within finance and the wider business
Requirements:
* At least 3 years’ experience within an Accounts Payable role
* Confident and assertive interpersonal skills from senior management to external suppliers
* Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all financial and team deadlines are met, within a fast paced environment
* Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
* Pro-active, with the ability to use initiative and work autonomously and as part of a wider team
* Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and clients
* Willing to learn/actively pursue further training
* Good IT skills especially on Excel (V look ups and pivot tables)
* Experience of SAP would be advantageous, but not essential
* Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
