A Little More About Your Role
* Meet the requirements of an "Engineer" grade and have proven track record on projects within your discipline as part of the overall project team.
* Work using your own initiative with supervision on all technical aspects of your discipline.
* Work under clear direction of the discipline lead or the client, interpreting project needs to meet delivery requirements.
* Consider feasibility of the project specific to the discipline.
* Proficient in completing detailed design and performance specification for the discipline, subject to review by colleagues prior to issue, and provide design and technical advice with a multidisciplinary approach.
* Review and input where required to the detailed design programme, ensuring sufficient resources are available to complete the works.
Your Team
* Based in our Leeds office in Wellington Place with easy commuting options.
* Work closely with likeminded individuals on exciting and challenging multi‑disciplinary projects.
* Building Services team in the Northern Region (Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh) consists of more than 50 Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health engineers.
* Supported by local, regional and international experts along with an extensive technical library and specifications.

Key Technical Requirements
* Experience as an electrical engineer in building services.
* Understanding of UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline and how to demonstrate this in project execution.
* UK project experience within Building Services MEP.
* Working knowledge of latest electrical design software packages.
* Experience with Revit MEP or other 3D design software.
* Ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically and effectively.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Electrical Design Skills
* Low voltage distribution systems.
* Low voltage standby generation.
* UPS systems.
* Cable calculations (software and by hand).
* Lighting calculations (software and by hand).
* Small power.
* Fire alarms.
* Intruder detection.
* Access control & security systems.
* Disabled call systems.
* Data cabling and outlets.
* Lightning protection.
Qualifications
* BEng/BSc/MEng in applicable engineering discipline.
* CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council accredited honours degree or specific experience leading to Chartership.
* Working towards IEng or CEng status.
* Revit MEP training applied to the discipline.
