About the Role
We are excited to be recruiting for a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician. This is an unrivalled opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest growing motor groups. As a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the MOT testing, service, repair and maintenance work for our customers' vehicles, readying them for the road ahead. You will be working in an industry-leading workshop boasting state‑of‑the‑art facilities, receiving full support and development through in‑house and manufacturer training.
Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Service Manager, being responsible for meeting both franchise and company standards in a service environment.
* Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types.
* Working to the highest level within scheduled times to meet company, franchise and manufacturers' standards.
* Repairing vehicles, testing vehicles and diagnosing faults.
* Replacing components, parts, lubricants and consumables while maintaining records and providing quality write‑ups for the customer and manufacturer.
* Keeping your work area clean, tidy, organised and free from hazards according to current Health & Safety standards and regulations.
* Advising and reporting on vehicle faults, servicing requirements and future servicing/repair requirements through the Vehicle Health Check and Video process.
Qualifications
* Qualify to Level 2 NVQ, or equivalent, in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and hold an MOT Testers Licence.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
* Have fantastic communication skills and thrive working in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
* Have the ability to work well under pressure; your technical ability will help you overcome any challenge.
* An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.
* Willingness to train within the Manufacturer Franchise and desire to progress to Senior and Master Technician status.
