Overview
Are you a skilled Machinist with a passion for precision and a background in aerospace or high-spec engineering? We\'re looking for a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team in Hayes, supporting world-class aviation maintenance and engineering operations.
Responsibilities
* Operate manual and CNC machines (e.g. lathes, mills, grinders) to produce and refurbish aircraft components.
* Experience operating horizontal and vertical borers - ideal.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering instructions, and specifications.
* Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with aviation standards.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and adhere to all safety and quality procedures.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical challenges.
What We\'re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Machinist in an aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
* Ability to work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Familiarity with aviation standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. EASA, CAA) is a plus.
* A proactive, safety-conscious mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Time-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training.
* Additional certifications in CNC programming or aviation maintenance are advantageous.
