This role is ideal if you’re calm, caring, and passionate about making a real difference.
As a trainee SEN TA, you’ll support pupils with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties. You’ll be guided by experienced staff and gain valuable hands-on experience in inclusive education.
You’ll be:
* Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis
* Helping children access learning and regulate emotions
* Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
* Building skills that could lead to specialist SEN roles
No prior SEN experience needed, just empathy, resilience, and commitment.

* Experience with SEMH, behaviour support or trauma-informed practice
* A calm, patient and non-judgemental approach
* Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to pupil wellbeing
* Confidence to set clear boundaries while staying warm and supportive
* Flexibility and resilience when the day takes a twist or two
