Job Details
* Location: St Peter & St James Hospice, BN8 4ED
* Contract Type: Part-time, permanent (This role is part-time, with the potential to increase to full-time as organisational needs develop)
* Working hours: 22.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday with availability to work occasional evenings and weekends)
* Salary: £17,850 - £19,669 per annum (£29,750 - £32,781 per annum, full-time equivalent)

About the Role
As a Relationship Fundraiser, you will play a key role in developing and nurturing supporter relationships across the community. You’ll proactively seek new fundraising opportunities, steward challenge event participants, and collaborate with local groups and businesses to increase awareness and income.
You’ll bring creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for connecting with people. Working closely with colleagues across the Fundraising team, you’ll help deliver campaigns, events and new initiatives that support sustainable income growth.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Building and developing relationships with supporters, community groups and local businesses.
* Proactively identifying new income opportunities and growing our supporter base.
* Delivering excellent stewardship to ensure supporters feel valued and inspired.
* Supporting individuals and groups undertaking challenge events.
* Using data and feedback to evaluate activity and improve future fundraising.
* Exploring new ideas and collaborating across internal and external teams.
* Contributing to events, campaigns and other fundraising activities as needed.

What You’ll Bring
* Experience in community fundraising or supporter stewardship.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and managing databases.
* An innovative, proactive approach to generating new ideas.
* The ability to prioritise, juggle multiple projects, and work independently.
* Empathy, warmth and a natural ability to build rapport with supporters.
* A full driving licence and ability to travel within the local area.
