Based at our Wakefield office, with some travel occasionally, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our motivated and successful Technical Team.
Your responsibilities and role:
* Provide second level (advanced) technical support to the product support team
* Provide AutoCAD drawings for projects and products
* Carry out wind loading and thermal calculations when required
* Carry out role, keep files and records according to our ISO9000 procedures and good practice
* Production of manual page updates and technical bulletins when required
* Production and delivery of training for in-house colleagues and external stakeholders
* Carry out site visits and production of detailed reports and solutions for second-level support requests
* Organisation and supervision of product manufacture for in-house and external testing
You will need:
* Broad expertise in curtain walling, windows and doors including technical principles, mechanics, thermal physics, optics and acoustics, etc.
* Detailed knowledge of Building Regulations, industry relevant British Standards, EN Standards and Building Control requirements
* A good engineering background
* Be capable of basic static calculations
* Have a good understanding of fenestration systems and how they are applied to specific project requirements
* Ability to set and track project milestones and deliverables
* Good client facing and project management skills
* Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to think laterally
* Be able to work collaboratively in a team, across other departments and with external customers
* Have excellent customer service skills
* Full literacy in Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
* AutoCAD proficiency – 2D essential, 3D highly desirable
