About Us Progressive Independence is opening a new 4-bed supported accommodation home in Rhostyllen, Wrexham, designed to help young people aged on their journey towards independence. Our service provides safe, supportive, and structured accommodation, enabling young people to build essential life skills and prepare for adulthood. Although supported accommodation in Wales is not regulated by CIW, we voluntarily align our practice with the Ofsted Supported Accommodation Standards (England 2023) while embracing CIW s values of dignity, equality, and child-centred care. This ensures our young people receive the very best support. The Role As a Support Worker, you will: Build positive, trusting relationships with young people. Provide consistent support with daily routines, education, training, and employment. Promote independence by helping with budgeting, cooking, self-care, and life skills. Safeguard young people and follow company safeguarding procedures. Support young people to engage with professionals and their wider community. Carry out health and safety checks, keep accurate records, and contribute to support planning. Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Requirements Experience supporting children or young people (residential, supported accommodation, or community settings). Calm, resilient, and adaptable. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Essential: Commitment to complete Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) within 12 months (if not already qualified). Enhanced DBS required.
