We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Chelmsford, starting as soon as possible. Your Role
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that challenge pupils while supporting a range of learning needs. You will monitor pupil progress and use assessment to inform planning, ensuring all pupils make strong academic and personal progress.
You will also play a key role in fostering positive behaviour, resilience, and independence, while supporting pupils’ social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
* Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform planning
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL
* Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
* Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and independent learning
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and Key Stage 2 colleagues
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers
* Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives
* Contribute to school improvement and curriculum development

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4
* Be confident in curriculum delivery, assessment, and differentiation
* Possess strong classroom management and organisational skills
* Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable
* Demonstrate commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding
* Have a positive, professional approach to teamwork
Early Career Teachers with Lower KS2 experience are welcome and supported.
